National Register documentation for properties in Texas is available from several sources. Please note that nominations have been created since 1969 following different documentation standards, and most have not been updated since the time of listing. While the boundaries for each listing are firmly established, the status of contributing properties, especially in historic districts, is subject to change.
- An inventory of all National Register listings in Texas is available in pdf format. This inventory is updated periodically and may not include the most recent listings.
- The text of most National Register nominations of properties in Texas is available on the THC’s Historic Sites Atlas. Please note that this data does not include photographs, maps, plans, or copies of the original forms.
- For copies of complete National Register nominations, please contact the National Register staff at the THC. Scanning and copying charges may apply.
Can’t find your property?
- Most Texas properties in the National Register are not individually listed, but are within historic districts, and as such may not be identified in the title of the nomination. Please contact the THC National Register staff for assistance if you cannot find your listed property on the THC Historic Sites Atlas.
