Texas Statewide Preservation Plan

Texas’ Statewide Historic Preservation Plan is a 10 year blueprint for Texans to preserve, protect and leverage historic and cultural fabric for the betterment of communities statewide. Developing the Statewide Preservation Plan collaboratively with our partners and the public is one of our many responsibilities as a State Historic Preservation Office, in accordance with the 1966 National Historic Preservation Act. The plan includes a vision for historic preservation in Texas, goals, outcomes to measure progress, action ideas for different types of stakeholders, as well as local case studies and best practices.

The plan has a dynamic web presence and is a place to learn, discuss, share and collaborate as we implement this plan. The Statewide Preservation Plan website is updated regularly with new projects and progress as Texans implement the plan. Here are some easy ways to be a partner on this journey:
